Ottawa, ON – Four games took place Friday night in the Central Canada Hockey League. The Brockville Braves hosted the Navan Grads, where in overtime the Braves won 4-3. The Smiths Falls Bears hosted the Ottawa Junior Senators, after 60-minutes the Bears won 5-2. The Hawkesbury Hawks hosted the Renfrew Wolves where the Hawks took the game 7-3. The Rockland Nationals hosted the Nepean Raiders, the Nationals won 1-0.
F | Navan 3 Brockville 4 (OT)
The first period saw Anoushan Mugunthan and Kayden Buller scoring for Brockville, while Matthew Roy netted one for Navan. In the second period, Thomas Cormier extended Brockville’s lead, but Noah Carpenter quickly responded for Navan. Nicholas Paone brought Navan level in the third period, setting the stage for an intense overtime period. Ultimately, it was Jesse Lumsden who sealed the victory for Brockville. Navan’s Braxton Castagno made 22 saves and Brockville’s Zane Spaniol stopping 32 shots.

Travis Ouellette got Smiths Falls off to a strong start with a goal in the first period. In the second period, Kyle James, Trevor Faucher, and Jackson Heron extended the lead for Smiths Falls, while Michael Gallary scored for Ottawa. Ben Albright pulled one back for Ottawa in the third, but Quinn Booth sealed the win for Smiths Falls. Goaltender Connor Shibley started for Ottawa, making 23 saves before being replaced by Will Mizenko, who made 4 saves. On the other end, Smiths Falls’ goaltender Dawson Labre made 18 saves.
F | Renfrew 3 Hawkesbury 7
In the first period, Hawkesbury’s Alexis Billequey, Wyatt Schmidek, Aidan Stubbings, and Brayden Besner scored, countered only by Owen Grainger for Renfrew. The second period saw Hawkesbury extend their lead with goals from Alexis Minville and Remi Gagne, while Noah Vom Scheidt found the net for Renfrew. Despite Andrew Morton’s goal for Renfrew in the third, Hawkesbury’s Alex Fournier secured the win. Renfrew’s goaltender Nolan Lane started strong with 11 saves before being replaced by Lincoln Mellenthin, who made 14 saves. Hawkesbury’s netminder Caleb Chabot made 53 saves.
F | Nepean 0 Rockland 1
The game remained scoreless until the second period, when Guillaume Labre netted the lone goal for Rockland. No further scoring occurred in the third period, sealing the win for Rockland. Nepean’s goaltender John Gedraitis made 34 saves. On the other end, Rockland’s goaltender Sebastian Resar turned away 19 shots to secure the shutout victory.
