CALGARY, Alberta (November 17, 2014) – The Portage Terriers of the MJHL, on the strength of a 9-game winning streak, have retaken the top spot in the Pointstreak CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings. Nearly all ten leagues across Canada are tightening up, and the parity in many leagues is becoming very evident.

Corporate Hype/CCM Player of the Week is Kevin Gollmer

The Grads goalie had the challenge of facing the #1 ranked Carleton Place Canadians in a home and home series. Gollmer was outstanding in a 4-2 loss and 2-1 OT loss stopping 75/80 shots while earning two 2nd game stars for his efforts. The Flourtown, PA native posted a 2.5 Goals Against and a stellar .938 Save Percentage keeping the Grads in both games. n

Barrhaven player looking to take his game to the Cosmos

Barrhaven native Costa Georgitsos, age 17, grew-up watching the Raiders' and, in early September, was acquired by the Nepean in a trade from the Brockville Braves. He was designated as an AP (affiliate player) and assigned to the Winchester Hawks Jr. 'B' team by Raiders' head coach Peter Goulet.
