Brockville falls to Kanata in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

 

Brett Van Stralen gave the Kanata Stallions a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Brockville Braves when he scored 12:12 into the extra period.

 

Kanata came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Stallions fell behind 4-2 after a goal by Brockville's Michael Murray at 7:48 in the third period. Kanata knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Joey Laird at 6:01 in the fourth period.

The Stallions were led by Laird, who registered one goal.

Kanata's offense rang up 34 shots on the Braves' net.

Kanata also had goals scored by Ian Johnston, Antoine Paradis, and Arik Breton, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kanata were Hugo Petit, who had two and Jean-Philippe Langlois, Tyler ONeill, Brock Stashick, and Carter Malette, who contributed one each.

Brockville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Kanata power plays.

Dylan McCrory also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Ethan Weiss, who had one and Neil Robinson, who had two.

Brian Wilson recorded 21 saves for the Stallions. Kanata incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Bo Taylor made 30 saves for the Braves on 34 shots. Brockville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
