Bogart Cup Recap | Jr Senators crowned Bogart Cup champs for second straight season

 

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr Senators won a hard fought battle over Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon to win their second consecutive Bogart Cup title. 

Adrien Bisson, Kyle Jackson, Danny Pion, and Owen Cole tallied goals, while Playoff MVP Francis Boisvert made 36 saves as Ottawa picked up a 4-2 victory to knock off the Carleton Place Canadians in five games.

Reece Bolton and David Poirier scored for the Canadians, while Connor Murphy made 16 saves in the losing effort.

From here, the Jr Senators travel to Amherst, NS where they will represent the CCHL at the Fred Page Cup, which they won last year and look to defend. They will be joined by Tournament Host Amherst Ramblers, Maritime Hockey League champion Yarmouth Mariners, and winner of the Quebec Junior Hockey League finals between Terrebonne and Princeville. The action runs from May 1-5.

The winner of the Fred Page Cup will represent Eastern Canada at the 2019 National Junior A Championships being held in Brooks, AB from May 11-19.
