Bogart Cup Recap | Bears & Wolves advance while Grads stay alive

 

OTTAWA, ON – Three games across the CCHL region Friday night the Smiths Falls Bears and Renfrew Wolves advance through to the Semi-Finals, while the Navan Grads forced a Game 6 in their series against Brockville.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 CARLETON PLACE 4

Riley Thompson netted a hat-trick, Alec Hamady and Conor Ronayne added singles, while Will McEvoy made 32-saves as Smiths Falls advanced through to the Semi-Finals. Carleton Place had two goals from Derek Hamilton, singles from Matteo Disipio and Bill Gourgon, while Joe Chambers made 29-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | RENFREW 3 HAWKESBURY 2 OT

Noah Vom Scheidt scored twice, including the overtime series clinching goal, Joey Kennelly also found the back of the net, while Sebastian Resar made 40-saves as Renfrew advanced to the Semi-Finals. Hawkesbury had goals from Garrison Schultz and Alex Fournier, while Dimitri Pelekos finished with 47-saves on the losing end of things.

 

F | NAVAN 4 BROCKVILLE 0

Max Donohoe, Blake Butler, Nico Paone, and Blake Hall scored, while Braedyn McIntosh had a 20-save shutout as Navan forced a Game 6. Brockville had a 42-save effort from Sami Molu in the loss. Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday night in Brockville at 7:00PM.
