Bogart Cup Playoff Recap | Hawks, Junior Senators, and Wolves winners Friday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Friday night saw six teams in action with the Hawkesbury Hawks, Ottawa Junior Senators, and Renfrew Wolves all picking up victories. The Brockville Braves and Pembroke Lumber Kings game was postponed due to a power outage and will be played Saturday night.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 3 | HAWKESBURY 4 NAVAN 2

Kerfalla Toure, Jeremy Tremblay, Willyam Gendron, and Jakson Kirk found the back of the net, while Matthew Tovell made 20-saves as Hawkesbury doubled up the Grads to take a 2-1 series lead. Navan had goals from Ryan Burke and Braeden McKinnon, while Carter Garvie made 20-saves in the loss.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 2 | OTTAWA 8 SMITHS FALLS 0

Vincent Velocci netted a hat-trick, Jake Code, Bodie Nobes, Philippe Jacques, Braxton Ross, and Massimo Gentile scored singles, while William Desmarais made 24-saves for the shutout as Ottawa took a 2-0 series lead over the Bears. Ottawa scored three shorthanded goals, tying a Bogart Cup playoff record.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 3 | RENFREW 5 KEMPTVILLE 2

Jakob Kalin, Owen Miley, Elvis Slack, Tyson Phare, and Brendan Hill scored goals, while Will Craig made 26-saves as Renfrew took a commanding 3-0 series lead on the 73’s. Kemptville had goals from Chase Lammi and Patrick Haughian, while Tyler Laureault made 31-saves in the losing effort.
