Bogart Cup Playoff Recap | 73’s, Braves, and Grads all win with their backs against the wall

 

OTTAWA, ON – Three games on Tuesday night and three teams with their backs against the wall were all able to pick up victories. Kemptville, Brockville, and Navan put out full team efforts to secure victories and extend their seasons further.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 5 | KEMPTVILLE 2 RENFREW 1 2OT

Alexander Caulfeild netted the double overtime winning goal, Matthew O’Doherty scored in regulation, while Tyler Laureault made a whopping 55-saves as Kemptville kept their season alive, wining their second straight game. Renfrew had their lone goal from Noah Vom Scheidt, while Will Craig made 38-saves on the losing end of things. Game 6 is slated for Thursday evening in Kemptville at 7:30PM.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 5 | BROCKVILLE 3 PEMBROKE 1

Ryan Bonfield scored the game-winner with 22-seconds remaining in the game, Justin Dauphinais and Luke Tchor also scored goals, while Sami Molu made 19-saves as Brockville picked up the big home win to extend their first round series. Pembroke had their lone goal from Carter Vollett, while Reece Proulx made 22-saves in the losing effort. Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:00PM in Pembroke.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 5 | NAVAN 2 HAWKESBURY 1 OT

Alec Lovisek scored both Grads goals, including the overtime winner, while Ben West 28-saves as Navan fought off elimination winning their second overtime game of the tight checking series. Hawkesbury had their lone goal in the game from Kerfalla Toure, while Matthew Tovell finished with 30-saves in the loss. Game 6 goes Thursday night in Navan at 7:30PM.
