Ottawa, ON – Two games across the CCHL region Thursday night saw victories from the Cornwall Colts and Kemptville 73’s.

Wil McKinley scored twice, Josh Barnes scored in his return to CCHL action after a stint in the USHL, while Rico Dimatteo made 30-saves as Cornwall improved to 11-20-1-1 on the season. Hawkesbury, who fell to 15-14-2-0, had goals from Evan Johnston and Mark Cooper, while Zach Johnson made 18-saves in the losing effort.

Gavin Wood, Carter Vollett, and Cameron Cotnam scored in regulation, Dante Moretti netted the shootout winner, while William Anderson made 18-saves as Kemptville stood strong and claimed the two points after blowing a three-goal lead to improve to 11-18-3-0 on the year. Kanata, who saw their record fall to 16-11-1-4, had goals from Dylan McMahon, Luca Nocita, and Derek St.Jean, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 36-saves in the loss.
