Week 19 Power-Rankings

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (38-4-3) (CJHL #1) | LW: 1 (–) | Results: 2-1W at HAW, 4-3W vs KAN | With 2 wins in overtime and recently getting back to being ranked the CJHL’s #1 team, the Carleton Place Canadians are determined to stay on top of the CCHL Power Rankings for a while.

 

  1. Ottawa Jr. Senators (35-6-3) (CJHL #4) | LW: 2 (–) | Results: 2-1W vs KAN, 5-2W at CRW, 4-3 SOL vs. SFB | A shootout loss to the Hawkesbury Hawks won’t deter them in the power rankings. The Junior Sens still hold a commanding lead in the Yzerman division and move up the CJHL rankings to #4.

 

  1. Kanata Lasers (22-14-7) | LW: 3 (-) | Results: 2-1OTL at OTT, 3-2OTL vs. ROC, 4-2L vs. PEM, 4-3OTL at CPC | Things are starting to go a little bit in the opposite way for the Lasers as they are currently on a 4 game losing streak. 3 of the 4 losses have been in OT. They remain 3rd in the power rankings but if they don’t get out of this slump this week, don’t expect them to be number 3 next week.

 

  1. Hawkesbury Hawks (25-14-1) | LW: 6 (+2) | Results: 2-1W| The Hawks put together a good performance to knock off the top seeded Carleton Place Canadians in OT. With a slew of home games coming up, we could start to see the Hawks make a challenge for the top 3.

 

  1. Brockville Braves (23-15-3) | LW: 5 (-) | Results: 7-6OTL at NEP, 7-3W vs. NAV | After a heartbreaking loss in overtime to the Nepean Raiders, the Braves were able to come back with a convincing win over the Grads. The Braves will look to try to keep that momentum from the win going.

 

  1. Cornwall Colts (22-17-5) | LW: 6 (-2) | Results: 5-2L vs OTT, 6-0L at ROC | The Colts will look and try to get themselves back in the win column this week as they are currently riding a 2 game losing streak.

 

  1. Rockland Nationals (21-20-3) | LW: 7 (-) | Results: 3-2W at KAN, 6-0W vs CRW | Rockland is starting to put some pieces together this month as they have only lost once in the month of January so far.

 

  1. Pembroke Lumber Kings(20-19-2) | LW: 8 (-) Results | 5-4OTL at KEM, 4-2W at KAN, 8-2W vs. KEM | Another team that has been on their winning ways so far and has also only lost once in January. With a convincing 8-2 victory against Kemptville, look for Pembroke to continue to do some damage.

 

  1. Smiths Falls Bears(16-23-4) | LW: 10 (+1) | Results: 4-3W vs OTT | Able to get a big win against the Ottawa Junior Sens in a shootout, the Smiths Falls Bears go back into the number 9 spot that they had previously lost for about a week.

 

  1. Nepean Raiders(15-23-1) | LW: 9 (-1) | Results: 7-6W vs. BRO | A high scoring affair with the Braves leads to an OT win for the Raiders. They take a the week off before facing Kanata next.

 

  1. Kemptville 73’s (12-32-2) | LW: 11 (-) | Results: 5-4W vs PEM, 8-2L at PEM | One win against Pembroke at home, one loss against Pembroke on the road. The 73’s will look to play spoiler in their next game against the Cornwall Colts.

 

  1. Navan Grads (9-32-0) | LW: 12 (-) | Results: 7-3L vs BRO | Things just aren’t going Navan’s way as they continue their losing streak. Navan has not won a game since November 26th when they beat the Smiths Falls Bears in a shootout.
