Wednesday Recap: OJS claims Battle of Baseline

Pierre-Luc Veillette led the way with a pair of goals as the Ottawa Jr. Senators downed the Nepean Raiders 5-3 in an intense contest at the Jim Durrell Complex.

Chiwetin Blacksmith, Darcy Walsh and Isaac Anderson each had a pair of assists in the win for second-place Ottawa (13-3-2), while Ryan Horvath potted a goal and assist in the loss for Nepean (6-9-0).

The third period saw tempers flare, with Jr. Sen David Pearce and Raider captain Kari Belec dropping the gloves and Nepean head coach Darcy Findlay ejected.

Owen Guy scored in his return to the Ottawa lineup; defenceman Craig McCabe had a goal and assist in the win for the Jr. Sens.
