Cornwall 5, Kemptville 3

A three-goal third period saw the Cornwall Colts complete a spectacular comeback on home ice against the Kemptville 73’s. Colts forward Chris Theodore’s team-leading seventh goal of the season at 16:29 of the third period stood as the winner, while Michael Carr made 37 saves in net to pick up the win.

Tyson Kirkby, Eric Conley and Jacob Shankar had the goals in the loss for Kemptville (2-6-0), while Cameron Hebert, Keegan Mulhearn, David Poirier and Evan Bidenti (EN) all tallied in addition to Theodore for the Colts (4-4-0).

Ottawa 2, Hawkesbury 1

Francis Boisvert’s 30-save performance in net led the way for the Ottawa Jr. Senators, who ground out a 2-1 win on home ice over the visiting Hawkesbury Hawks.

Zach Fournier opened the scoring just four minutes in for the Hawks, but goals from Pierre-Luc Veillette and Elie Boulerice were enough to secure the win for Ottawa (5-2-0).

Hawks (4-3-0) captain David Jankowski had an assist in the loss, and now has points in four of his last five games.

Kanata 2, Brockville 1

The Lasers held off a third-period surge by the visiting Braves to pick up their first win under new head coach Nathan Hewitt.

Myles Hektor (33/34) and Justin Evenson (36/38) put on a goaltending clinic in the Kanata and Brockville nets respectively, but Jack Quinn’s first of the season at 19:15 of the first period proved to be the difference.

Quinn — recently released by the OHL’s Ottawa 67’s — had a multi-point night in his season debut with Kanata.

Luca Nocita also scored for the Lasers (4-5-0), while Tommy Callaghan scored his first career goal in the loss for the Braves (4-5-0).
