The Junior Senators defeat the Raiders 3-1

The Ottawa Junior Senators' offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 36 shots throughout the game. The Ottawa Junior Senators took the lead late in the second on a goal from Darcy Walsh.

During the second period, Horvath opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 1:22 with a helper from his linemate Mccaughey. Lalonde finally put Ottawa on the board with a goal at 18:09 with assists from his linemates, Guy and Mattawashish. Walsh quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:13 with a helper from fellow Junior Senators forward Manderville.

In the third, Evans deposited a goal at 12:14 with an assist from defenseman Bisson.

Ottawa’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hicks’ big night as he stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced. Hicks’ counterpart, Souliere, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 36, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Ottawa Junior Senators’ record to (26-4-1-2).
