F | Rockland 4, Navan 1

The Nationals outshot the Grads 43-21 and picked up their 25th win of the season. The Grads suffered their 43rd loss of the year.

Alex Robert had three points (1G/2A) for his first three point game since joining the Nationals from the OHL. He now has 11 points (6G/5A) in 12 games since coming down to Rockland after he had no points in 30 games with North Bay this season. Rockland is now 2-1 over their last three games after having a 0-3 record to start the month of February. They are now six games up on the Bears for 8th in the standings, which is the final playoff spot.

Navan’s Seth Carter made 39 saves in the loss. He has now made 35 plus saves in five consecutive games. McGrath scored his 8th of the season, his fourth over his last five games. The Grads have now lost 22 straight games.

F | Carleton Place 3, Brockville 2

The Carleton Place Canadians reach the 100 point mark for the fourth time in the last five years after they score three unanswered goals from the second and third period. Zachary Tupker picked up his 15th of the season and the game winning goal with under three minutes remaining in the third.

Girduckis, Tupker and Broughman had their goals. Broughman picked up his 28th if the year. Theocharidis also netted two assists and has seven points over his last five games (3G/7A) while Broughman is coming off a POTW award and now has five goals, four assists over his last five games. The Canadians have also won 11 straight games.

The Braves were out-shot 37-21 in the game. With back to back games this weekend against CP, they have now lost two straight games. They were on a seven game winning streak before the two straight losses. Holland and Vlahos had the only goals for the Braves today, which came in the first period.

F | Nepean 6, Hawkesbury 1

Nepean went 3-3 on the power-play but were outshot 40-22. Goals came from Gauthier, Dempster, Rowe, Horvath, Stagg and Donovan.

Horvath and Stagg each had 1G/1A while Denomme and Browning had 2A each. The “Dempster” brother paired up today as Geoff (’98) and Bobby Dempster (’01) dressed for Nepean in the win. Nepean is now on a two game winning streak.

Hawkesbury is now 1-4 over their last five games with their only win coming against Navan (6-3). Anderson picked up the only goal for the Hawks while they flipped through Brooks and Petizian in net today.

F/SO | Smiths Falls 6, Pembroke 5

Lalonde tied the game for the Bears in the final five minutes of the third period. Larabie won the game in the shootout after Di Carlo scored first Pembroke was unsuccessful on all three attempts.

Brian Bygrave had 1G/1A for his first two point game since December 8th as he was the games third star.  The Bears snap their two game skid and are now 3-3 since the start of February. Also four points behind the Nationals and six behind the Lumber Kings for the final two playoff spots.

The Lumber Kings had a big performance from Brien (1G/4A) and Barnaby (3A) in the loss. Brien recorded his first career five point game and first multi-point effort since January 28th. Barnaby has 21 multi-point games this season and his three assists tonight were the most he has had in a single contest all season. Pembroke is now 2-3 over their last five games.
