Oswego, N.Y. — The CCHL All-Graduate Team is set to face the Oswego State Lakers on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd at Oswego’s Marano Campus Center Arena.
The CCHL team, hand-picked by head coach Jason Clarke and his staff, comprises the best uncommitted 1997-born players from across the league — an honour not lost on Brockville defenceman Andrew Jarvis.
“There are so many talented and purposeful ’97s in the league, so it truly means a lot to be selected to represent a league like ours,” said the veteran Braves captain. “The opportunity is once in a lifetime, and I’m hopeful myself and the rest of the CCHL can make a name for ourselves and get a big win.”

The 20-man roster features a number of elite players, including league-leading scorer Chris Theodore and 190-minute shutout man Jeremie Forget between the pipes.
The 2017 edition will be the third instalment of the annual exhibition game; the CCHL earned a 6-3 win in 2015, but the hometown Lakers edged a 3-1 decision last year.
“It’s definitely going to be a battle facing a powerhouse D-3 hockey team,” said Jarvis. “They’re much bigger and stronger, and obviously older as well, (but) we have a really fast team and that’s what the game is becoming so hopefully we have the edge there.”
Saturday’s hosts boast 10 CCHL alumni on their roster, including four players — Josh Zizek, Chris MacMillan, Jody Sullivan and Tanner Spink — who suited up for the CCHL in previous editions of the exhibition game.
