Nine CCHL Players Named to Canada East Camp

Ottawa, Ont. — Nine CCHL players were called to Team Canada East’s selection camp (Dec. 2-5) ahead of this year’s World Junior “A” Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Six of the nine players come from Jason Clarke’s Carleton Place Canadians (CJHL No. 2), with two from Martin Dagenais’s Ottawa Jr. Senators (CJHL No. 14) and one from Mark Grady’s Smiths Falls Bears.

Dagenais will serve as an assistant coach on Patrice Bosch’s Team Canada East staff.

Of the 40 players called up to the selection camp in Etobicoke, Ont., 22 will make the Team Canada East final roster.

Defencemen: Matthieu Franche (Smiths Falls), Aidan Girduckis (Carleton Place), Tim Theocharidis (Carleton Place), Cade Townend (Carleton Place).

Forwards: Finn Evans (Ottawa), Connor Hill (Carleton Place), Ethan Manderville (Ottawa), Zach Tupker (Carleton Place), Ben Tupker (Carleton Place)
