Liam Lascelle wins the Top Goaltender Award

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Cornwall Colts goaltender, Liam Lascelle, has won the 2017-2018 Top Goaltender Award.

Lascelle, 20,  had an exceptional season with the Cornwall Colts. Over the course of 49 games as of this writing, Lascelle has averaged a 2.74 GAA with a .926 SV%. He also has 4 shutouts during the course of the season.

“With all the goalie talent in this league, it’s an honour to receive this award.” said Lascelle.  “I couldn’t of done it without the guys on my team.”

Lascelle also reflected on his time with the Cornwall Colts and being able grow year by year.

“Every year was definitely unique, my first year I came in battling for starts, as I matured, I got more playing time and improved year by year.” reflected Lascelle.

The overall experience for Lascelle is what he’ll remember most.

“Playing junior hockey in Cornwall was a blast and I made friends and memories that’ll last a lifetime.”

It is the final year for Lascelle in the CCHL. He’ll look to finish his season of strong with a lengthy run in the playoffs.
