Lalonde Named CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont. —

The Central Canada Hockey League announced this morning that Ottawa Jr. Senators forward Nick Lalonde (Brooklin, Ont.) has earned CCM Player of the Week honours for the opening two weeks of the regular season.

Lalonde, 19, leads the league in goals (seven) and points (13) after a torrid 2.6 points-per-game start.

Five of the Robert Morris commit’s 13 points have come on the powerplay (three goals, two assists), and his chemistry with fellow Jr. Sens summer acquisition Owen Guy has paid dividends early in 2017-18.

Two other players received honourable mentions for their play in the opening weeks of the season; Rockland goaltender Sean Storr leads the league in goals-against (1.30) and save-% (.954), while Navan forward Keenan Reynolds had a historic four-goal, five-point effort on Sunday.
