Knoblauch Named CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont. ā€”

The Central Canada Hockey League announced today that Carleton Place forward Samuel Knoblauch (Rochester, Mich.) has been named CCM Player of the Week for the third week of the regular season.

Knoblauch, 19, had two goals and six assists over the course of the Canadians’ perfect three-for-three weekend; the uncommitted ’98 now is now tied for the CCHL lead in points (14) and assists (9).

The American forward has been a key piece of Carleton Place’s powerplay early in 2017-18, and is on pace to smash his 38-point mark from last season.

Honourable mentions this week included Kemptville’s John Beaton ā€” a 16 year-old who had four points in the 73’s two games ā€” and Pembroke’sĀ Matt Barnaby, who had four points in the Lumber Kings’ two games.
