Jarvis Commits to Carleton University

Ottawa, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Brockville Braves defenceman Andrew Jarvis has committed to Carleton University.

Jarvis, 20, has tallied 107 career points (20G, 87A) in 224 career CCHL games — all as a Brave.

“About a month ago Carleton came to me first and seemed very interested right away,” explained Jarvis. “They’re a very high-end organization (with) great academics and always at the top of the U Sports standings — they’re winners.”

The opportunity to play high-level hockey while remaining close to his hometown of Morrisburg, Ont. proved a deciding factor  in the highly sought-after blueliner’s decision.

“It’s going to be so convenient to stay at home close to my family and friends, get the education and play very high end hockey,” continued the Brockville captain, who will likely study psychology or social work. “There’s nothing more you can ask for.”

Jarvis currently co-leads CCHL defencemen in short-handed points (3) and game-winning goals (2).
