Jankowski Named CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League announced Tuesday morning that Hawkesbury Hawks forward David Jankowski has been named CCM Player of the Week for Week 7 (Oct. 9-16).

Jankowski, 20, registered six points (3G, 3A) over the course of three games, including a ridiculous five-point effort in an 8-0 win over Pembroke on Oct. 13.

The uncommitted Hawkesbury captain now sits fourth in the CCHL in points (22), and leads the league in points-per-game* (1.57).

Honourable mentions this week went to Cornwall forward Justin McRae and Nepean goaltender Liam Souliere.

McRae, 18, also notched six points (3G, 3A) during an impressive Week 7 that saw him record three multi-point games. The Peterborough, Ont. native now sits second on the Colts in points (16).

Souliere, 18, earned his first two CCHL victories in Week 7, allowing just three goals over two starts against Brockville (Oct. 13) and Kemptville (Oct. 15).
