Gongshow Three Stars of the Month

Ottawa ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is happy to announce our Gongshow Three Stars of the Month for November.

Nepean Raiders goaltender Liam Souliere earned first-star honours, while Smiths Falls Bears net-minder Bradley Dobson and Brockville Braves forward Tyson Kirkby earned second and third star honours.

Souliere, 18, went 2-4 over 9 games in the month of November, posting a 2.14GAA and a .939SV%. The Blainville, QU native currently sits 7th in GAA (2.68) and 6th in SV% (.923).

“He’s a young goaltender that will shine in this league for a few years” said Raiders head coach, Darcy Findlay. “He reminds me of Francis Marotte who played for us a few years ago” and mentioned “He’s very athletic, gives the boys a lot of confidence and we’re very happy to have Liam as he will be an important piece down the stretch” said Findlay.

Dobson, 19, made 10 starts in the month of November, going 5-3-1 with a 1.66GAA and .944SV%. The Moose Factory, ON native is 9th in GAA (2.96) and 12th in SV% (.906).

“This season has been a lot of fun so far” said Bears goaltender, Bradley Dobson. “When I got back from injury I just needed to get back to the basics and find my game, I’m just letting the puck come to me and staying relaxed right now”.

Kirikby, 20, had 12 points (4G/8A) in nine games this month. The uncommitted, Prescott, ON native leads the Braves in points (35) and assists (24) over a total of 33 games this season.

“Tyson has brought us skill, grit and experience to our team” said Braves coach, Jesse Winchester. “His competitiveness each day has helped us to elevate our play, whether it’s a faceoff win or a blocked shot on the PK, he does everything for us and has a blast doing it”.

The Central Canada Hockey League will announce its CCM Player, Goalie and Rookie of the month tomorrow at noon.
