Forget Named CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League announced Wednesday that Carleton Place Canadians goaltender Jeremie Forget has earned CCM Player of the Week honours for Week 6 (Oct. 2-8).

Forget, a 1997-born ‘tender from Mascouche, Que., stopped all 46 shots he faced during the week en route to a pair of shutout victories against Smiths Falls (10/07) and Pembroke (10/08).

The uncommitted 19 year-old now leads the league in virtually every goaltending statistic: goals-against (1.44), save-% (.944), wins (9) and shutouts (2).

Honourable mentions for Week 6 went to Hawkesbury captain David Jankowski and Nepean rookie Liam Stagg.

Jankowski, an uncommitted 20 year-old, recorded six points (1G, 5A) in a pair of Hawkesbury wins. His 17 points (7G, 10A) on the season rank him 7th in the CCHL.

Stagg, a 1999-born former Stanstead College captain, notched five points (2G, 3A) over the course of two Raiders games in Week 6.
