The Carleton Place Canadians (26-2-2) downed the Kanata Lasers (12-13-3) via a confident 6-2 decision in Renfrew on Saturday night.

James Buckley’s goal at 19:33 of the third period stood as an uber-late game-winning goal as the Pembroke Lumber Kings edged the Nepean Raiders 3-2 in the Fish Findlay Classic.
Dale McTavish’s Lumber Kings (15-9-1) became the fifth team to the 15-win mark in 2017-18; Darcy Findlay’s Raiders (10-15-1) have now lost three in a row since beating Carleton Place (11/10).
Forward Brendan Browne had a goal and assist in the win for Pembroke.
