CP Alumni, Point Invited to Canada’s National Junior Selection Camp

CALGARY, ALBERTA – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to mention that Carleton Place Canadians alumni, Colton Point has been invited to the Hockey Canada National Junior Team Selection Camp for the 2018 World Junior Championship, as announced by Hockey Canada on Wednesday, December 6.

Point, 19, is currently suiting up for Colgate Division 1 University as a sophomore. He is tied for third in the nation with a .943 save percentage and is sixth with a 1.76 GAA. He also ranks sixth with 450 saves and is tied for fifth with eight wins.

The North Bay, Ontario native played for the CCHL’s Carleton Place Canadians in 2016 where he posted a 2.16 GAA and a .915 SV% en-route to a Bogart and Fred Page Cup.

The 6’4, 220 pound net-minder is currently a Dallas Stars prospect after being drafted in 2016 out of the 5th round 128th overall while being a member of the Canadians.
