CJHL RANKINGS: CP #1 and OJS #7

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to mention that two of our CCHL teams remain in the top ten CJHL Rankings this week.

The Carleton Place Canadians rank first in the CJHL Rankings for the fourth consecutive week, while the Ottawa Jr. Senators drop from number five to number seven on this week’s list.

Carleton place went undefeated this week with a 2-and-0 record. They beat Pembroke 3-1 on Friday and Rockland in a shootout on Sunday. Since the start of December, they have outscored opponents 19-to-9 during that time.

The Ottawa Junior Senators finished the week with a 1-and-1 record. They lost to a red hot Kanata team, 5-2 on Thursday and took down the Pembroke Lumber Kings 6-3 on Sunday night. The loss against the Kanata Lasers not only snapped their 10 game winning streak but dropped Ottawa two spots in the CJHL Rankings.

Carleton Place has three games on tap this week. They take on the Lasers, Nationals and Lumber Kings. Ottawa plays twice this week. The Jr. Sens take on the Kemptville 73’s and Brockville Braves on back to back nights.
