CCHL Alumni lead the way in NCAA Weekly Awards

Ottawa, Ontario – CCHL alumni were front and centre in this week’s NCAA weekly awards. Princeton University’s forward, Ryan Kuffner, was named the ECAC Player of the Week and Robert Morris University’s defenseman Eric Israel has been named the Atlantic Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.

An Ottawa, Ontario native, Kuffner, 21, played for 3 seasons with the Gloucester Rangers. In his 101 games played with the club, he was able to score 55 goals and 60 assists in his career. Currently in his NCAA career he has scored 43 goals and tallied 44 assists in 88 games played with Princeton.

Israel, 23, played 2 seasons with the Brockville Braves. During his time with the squad, he played 119 games, scoring 28 goals and tallying 64 assists. Currently with the Colonials, he has scored 14 goals and tallied 42 assists during his NCAA career.
