Braves Add a Veteran Scorer

Brockville, Ontario – The Brockville Braves announced late last night that they have acquired ’97 F Michael Locatelli from the Navan Grads in exchange for the rights to ’01 F Justin Jamer and ’00 D Evan Huntley.

Locatelli, 20, joined the Grads at the beginning of the season after splitting the last two seasons with Kanata and the East Coast Wizards of the EHL. The Toronto, Ontario native currently has 15 goals and 31 points in 34 games this season.

With the loss of two top prospects, the Braves get a big 6’4 veteran body that can score. The un-committed forward was named an honourable mention for Novembers Player of the Month after he scored 12 goals.

For the Grads, they acquire the playing rights to defencemen Evan Huntley and forward Justin Jamer who are both currently playing for their CCHL Tier 2 clubs.

Huntley, 17, was part of the Braves U-18 Program last season where he posted 23 points in 35 games. The former Cornwall Colts prospect is playing for the Char-Lan Rebels of the CCHL Tier 2, scoring 27 points in 36 games.

Jamer, 16, scored 25 points (14G/11A) with the Braves U-18 squad last season before joining the Ottawa West Golden Knights of the CCHL Tier 2 this season. The Ottawa, Ontario native has 20 points (8G/12A) over 31 games with Ottawa West this year.
