Top Performers

F – Ryan Kuffner (JR) – Princeton

Finished tied for 2nd in the nation in Goals (29), while his 52 points in 36 games placed him in a tie for 4th overall. The Gloucester Rangers (now Rockland Nationals) alumnus was named an ECAC 2nd-Team All-American.  He is expected to return for his Senior season before turning pro.

F – Max Veronneau (JR) – Princeton

His 55 points in 36 games were 2nd best in the country, while he also finished 2nd in Assists (38). He and Ryan Kuffner have been teammates for not only their 3 seasons at Princeton, but they also played their final 2 seasons of Junior with each other in Gloucester. Like Kuffner, Veronneau was also named an ECAC 2nd-Team All-American and is expected to return for his Senior season.

D – Kelly Summers (SR) – Clarkson

The former Carleton Place Canadians standout and 2014 CCHL Prospect of the Year has seen improvements in each of his 4 seasons at Clarkson. Selected in the 7th round, 189th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators, Summers is coming off his most productive offensive season which saw him total 30 points (6G, 24A) in 40 games. For his efforts, the Golden Lake, ON native was named an ECAC 2nd-Team All-American.

G – Colton Point (SO) – Colgate

It was a season to remember for the Carleton Place Canadians alumni and Dallas Stars 5th round pick. After earning the starting role for Colgate, Point would crack the Canadian World Junior lineup, and help them win the Gold.  He started 1 game, making 20-saves in a 6-0 victory over Slovakia in the Preliminary Round.

With Colgate he shattered several program records with a .944 save percentage and 1.74 GAA. He broke the program’s 55-year-old record for save percentage of .930 held by Kurt Brown ’64 from the 1962-63 season. Point’s 1.74 GAA was also better than the 1.82 GAA from Steve Silverthorn ’05 in the 2003-04 season.

In addition to those records, Point tied the program record with six shutouts, also held by Mark Dekanich ’08 in 2007-08 and Charlie Finn ’17 in 2013-14.

For his efforts, Point was named an ECAC 2nd-Team All-American, just the fourth Colgate netminder to be named an All-American and the first Sophomore in school history.
